Current catalysis research is focused on photocatalytic and chemical methods for carbon dioxide conversion utilizing materials such as oxynitrides, transition metal dichalcogenides and transition metal oxides. Ab-initio computational methods such as DFT are utilized in exploring these materials and their catalytic behavior.
